Swimming, sauna and soaking
Wait at least 4 weeks after the final session before pools, sea, lakes, hot tubs, sauna, hammam, steam rooms or prolonged bath soaking. Skin must also be fully healed. If scabs, open areas, redness or tenderness remain, keep waiting and seek assessment. A swimming cap does not make early swimming safe. Do not clean wounds with seawater. Coordinate holidays and sessions in advance.
Avoid combining several stresses
Sun, heat, sweating and prolonged water contact may combine on holiday. Consider excursions, exercise and headwear as well as pool days. Bring your own aftercare information. Do not use unfamiliar creams or disinfectants simply because someone recommends them while travelling. With skin problems, local medical advice matters more than completing an activity.
Leave room in your schedule
SMP is often planned in stages with recovery between visits. Do not assume every session will be finished before departure. Discuss a period with enough room for aftercare and review. If you need to change a booking, read the separate consultation and treatment terms; their deadlines differ.
Applying this to your situation
Even a holiday without swimming may involve heat, sweat and sun. Consider the whole itinerary, not only pool days. Include aftercare in your choice of treatment date. The clinic can help with planning, but actual healing determines when activities can resume.
What we consider in your assessment
Holidays often combine sun, heat and water. Share your departure date and plans before reserving treatment. We can discuss how aftercare fits; a tight schedule is not a reason to skip recovery guidance.
Your next step with Mehmet
If you have booked a trip, share the dates and planned activities. A beach holiday needs different preparation from a relaxed city visit. Together we can choose timing that fits treatment, healing and your plans.
