It remains a cosmetic effect
SMP may suggest closely shaved hair, reduce visible scalp or soften the colour contrast of a healed scar. It does not grow hair or smooth scar tissue. It does not medically treat the cause of hair loss. If you mainly want volume or a longer hairstyle, discuss that before choosing pigmentation.
No identical outcome for everyone
Skin, healing, pigment behaviour, hair length and lifestyle influence results. SMP terms do not guarantee exact colour, density, duration or perfection. Understanding the proposal therefore matters. Ask which uncertainties apply to you and how reviews are used to assess the healed appearance.
Give yourself room to decide
A free consultation does not oblige treatment. Review the plan, prices and terms and ask follow-up questions. Consider how you would feel if the effect were subtler than your initial ideal. If expectations do not match what is responsibly achievable, deciding against SMP can be an appropriate outcome.
Applying this to your situation
Describe what you want to avoid as well as what you like: a sharp edge, dark contrast or frequent maintenance. This makes the proposal more specific. Ask about everyday lighting and future changes. A clearly defined goal gives you a better basis for deciding.
What if my goal does not seem achievable?
That should be discussed openly. A different shape, intensity or length may help, or another route may fit better. HM can include questions about other hair treatments. You do not need to accept a compromise you dislike. Consultation leaves room to decline, postpone or gather more information.
