Two different scar patterns
FUE may leave scattered small donor-area scars, while FUT usually involves a linear scar. The HM price list therefore separates these camouflage categories. However, scars differ in width, colour, position and surrounding hair. The name of an earlier operation alone is not enough to establish a final treatment plan.
Healing and texture
A scar needs to be suitable and sufficiently healed before pigmentation is considered. SMP does not flatten raised or depressed texture. Scar tissue can also respond differently from surrounding skin. Ask which uncertainties apply to your situation and how follow-up sessions are assessed. A calendar date cannot replace a skin assessment.
Hair length still matters
The effect can look different with millimetre-short hair compared with longer hair covering the scar. Discuss the length you actually want to wear and do not judge by reference photos alone. Request a proposal that clearly defines the area and price. The aim is less noticeable colour contrast, not a promise of an invisible scar.
Applying this to your situation
Ask what colour improvement is realistic, not only whether a scar can be treated. Look from the side as well: altered texture may still cast a shadow. Preferred hair length, scar width and surrounding hair influence the transition together. These points belong in the discussion before a price is proposed.
Will a scar become completely invisible?
That cannot be promised. Pigment may soften colour differences while raised or uneven texture remains visible. A scar can still show under certain lighting or very short hair. We explain the intended effect for your skin and preferred length. If this does not meet your expectations, the plan needs reconsideration.
