Explain how you want to keep wearing your hair. Density work between existing hairs is different from a full shaved-look plan. Longer hair can cover certain transitions, while very short hair shows pigment distribution more clearly. The plan should fit your everyday hairstyle. Allowing for ongoing hair loss
SMP does not stop hair loss. A changing pattern may require reassessment later. Ask how surrounding regions are considered and which future maintenance may fall outside the initial proposal. A clear agreement about the current treatment zone is more useful than a promise that the appearance will remain unchanged forever.
Taking useful baseline photographs
Assess dry hair without thickening fibres, under comparable lighting. Include the hairline, crown and middle area. A single image under harsh overhead light can give an incomplete impression. Diffuse thinning calls for assessment of the whole upper scalp. Treating only the most visible spot may leave a transition that shows in different lighting.
